Time

Summer 2017 and 2018

The dome is back by the Culture Houses of Kópavogur for the summer! There it will serve the purpose of being a meeting point and platform to re-think all kinds of things. There will be events every other Wednesday and Saturday in the dome and surrounding locations, Gerðarsafn and the library.

Origin, construction, founding

The project was to build a greenhouse from scratch using only materials destined for landfill, and for the windows we wanted to use a particularly underutilized and ubiquitous source of plastic: CDs. The house takes the form of a geodesic dome a la Buckminster Fuller and housed flowers, tomatoes and spices.
